The short of it is this......we are here to teach so that our students may learn.....it should be done with character in the classroom and out.....where they go from here highly depends on us!

My Classroom Mission

All students will be proficient (80% or higher), on the Biology End of Course Test and the Physical Science Exam. We will do this by working hard and learning with fun activities.  We will do this so we may be successful in our class and on the EOC/Exam test!

*Four Important Things:
1. Show up
2. Pay Attention
3. Ask Questions
4. Do the Work :)

About Me

I love North Carolina because I love the mountains!!  I have lived here for twelve years, but was born and raised in Ohio on Lake Erie.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.  I lived in Florida for 10 years where I worked in the field of Social Work.

I decided I wanted to teach, so I completed my teaching degree at UNC-Charlotte.  I worked as a Exceptional Education teacher for seven years and then got certified in Biology and Physical Science.  I love our Science Department because I get to work with the best science teachers in the county!!

I have two daughters; one who is a freshman at Appalachian State University, and one who is a new Raider freshman!! I love hiking the NC mountains, Oak Island visits, volleyball, reading, and of course; anything to do with Biology and Physical Science!
