Course Planner Registration Tips

 

 

Adding Courses

-         The year for which you are choosing courses will be outlined by a broken line, yellow courses are required, white courses are electives

                             

-         Choose courses for each area by clicking “+” (courses highlighted in green have already been completed, courses highlighted in yellow are available to be added to Course Planner)

 

-         To remove a course you have added, click “-“ next to the course

 

-         If a course you have added shows up with a red or blue dot, scroll over the dot to read the note     =Warning    =Issue   

 

-         When choosing electives, click “+” then choose a discipline or cluster from the drop down menu (example: choose agricultural education from the menu to see all agriculture courses being offered, click “+” next to any course you want to add to Course Planner)

 

-         Each student must choose 4 alternate course before submitting their registration

 

-         When complete click “SUBMIT” (any issues, pre-requisites, co-requisites, etc. will come up for your review, click “CONFIRM” to go back to the Course Planner in order to correct)

 

-         Once Course Planner is complete and courses are entered in correctly, click “SUBMIT.”  You will receive this message: 

 

Congratulations! You have successfully selected courses for next year. By submitting your selections you agree to the following:

  • I have reviewed my course selections with a parent or guardian.
  • I understand that when I select Submit my courses cannot be changed.
  • I will print my selections and have a parent or guardian sign the authorization form.

 

            Clicking “Submit” will lock in all course choices.  Once the course selections are completed, approved by a counselor and submitted, or an override has been performed to submit the courses, all courses   should have a lock  next to them to indicate they have been submitted on the student view page. 

 

            Click the printer icon above the course selections to print a sign off sheet for parents.  This sheet includes credit history, graduation requirements, course choices, and guidance notes.

 

            IF students need prior consent from parents, DO NOT click SUBMIT, click the printer icon to print a  draft of their course selections. 

 

 

 

 

 

When Complete

           

            Once the course selections are completed, approved by a counselor and submitted, or an override has been performed to submit the courses, all courses should have a lock next to them to         indicate they have been submitted on the student view page. 

 

            Click the printer icon above the course selections to print a sign off sheet for parents.  This sheet includes credit history, graduation requirements, course choices, and guidance notes.
