Physical Education Essential Curriculum

 

1.)                       Students will be able to move in a variety of ways and apply those movements towards lifetime physical activities.

2.)                       Students will participate in at least one team sport and one individual sport through small-sided games.

3.)                       Students will be able to apply physiological and biomechanical principles related to exercise and training.

4.)                       Students will be able to demonstrate skills in basic offensive and defensive strategies in team and individual sports.

5.)                       Students will be able to apply rules and problem solving skills to movements and activities.

6.)                       Students will display a physically active lifestyle.

7.)                       Students will be able to use resources in their community to maintain regular physical activity.

8.)                       Students will be able to identify and evaluate the health related fitness components

9.)                       Students will be able to identify and evaluate skill related fitness components
