I grew up in Sterling, VA, which is located about 20 miles west of Washington D.C. I graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA with a B.S. in Biology. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching in 2013 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
