The school improvement process has been in place in North Carolina schools for many years.  NC General Statute 115C-105.27 dictates that schools must develop and gain approval for a School Improvement Plan (SIP) to focus attention to areas of need within the school.

The commitment to continuous improvement in Iredell-Statesville School District means that School Improvement Plans are subject to review and change throughout a given year. As a result of efforts to continuously evaluate data and adjust plans, the School Improvement Team (SIT) revisits our plan and makes adjustments to deployment steps as we progress toward meeting our goals.

SIT choses goals for the school improvement plan based on data from the School Climate Survey, End of Grade tests, and state mandates.
