Welcome back to school!  The summer is almost over and we are so excited to begin a new school year at Woodland Heights Elementary! 

 

Just to let you know a little about myself, I have been teaching for fourteen years. I have a BS degree in Elementary Education and graduated from East Carolina University in 1997. I have taught pre-school, second grade, third grade, and currently teaching first grade.  We relocated to the area eight years ago from the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  There, I spent seven years teaching at First Flight Elementary School.  I met and married my best friend and second grade team teaching partner, Mr. Justin Miller. This will be my eighth year teaching first grade at Woodland Heights Elementary School. I love teaching first grade!!! I am happily married to Mr. Miller who teaches second grade at WHES.  We have an eight year old daughter named Molly who is beginning third grade this year.  As a family we like to visit the beach, go for walks, play outside, and spend time together.  I can't wait to get to know you and your child this year!
