Week of October 1 - October 4
 
Dear Parents,
     Thank you very much to all of you who donated books to our classroom.  We can always use new books.  Conferences will start this week.  If you have not sent in your conference request form, please do so as soon as possible.  I will be sending home your scheduled conference time today.  Please check your child's planner for the information.  If you can not make the time, please let me know as soon as possible. 
                                                                         
READING: This week we will be working on point of view.  We are also working on novels in groups.
 
MATH: We pretested on subtraction today.  This week we will work on our subtraction unit.
 
WRITING: We will continue working on lower case cursive.  We will also be working on sequencing while writing.
 
  
SCIENCE: We are still working on our plants unit#  The students are learning about the different parts of plants and their functions.
