We we develop a mission statement together in the first few weeks of school.

 

 

I moved here from Saratoga Springs, New York to begin teaching in 2004.  Since then I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grade in Iredell county.  I was voted "Teacher of the Year" at Union Grove and named one of five district finalists in the 2010-11 school year.

 

I graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2003 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education (PreK-6).  I also have a Masters degree in Educational Media/Instructional Technology & Computers from Appalachian State University (2010).

 

My husband, Jesse, and I have been married for five years.  We have two precious baby girls.

 

It is a blessing to be a teacher at Union Grove and to be working with such a wonderful, caring staff.
