Letterland Day by Day Homework

Day 1:   Have your child read all of the spelling, review,          

                 tricky  words, and sentences twice.

Day 2: Children practice writing the new         

               spelling and tricky words. They use

               the Look-Say-Cover-Write- Check 

               page as a reference.    Draw 3 columns

               on the notebook page each week and

               complete the activity there.

Day 3: Your child is asked to write six sentences.

                sentence should have at least one spelling 

                  word or tricky word in it. Encourage your

                  child to write interesting and descriptive

                  sentences. Each sentence should begin with 

                  a capital and end with correct punctuation.

Day 4:  Give your child a practice spelling test. All spelling

                   and tricky words should be written right in the  

                   notebook.

***The first week’s homework was done together in class. 

Use first 4 pages of notebook as example.
