Consequence

1. All School Rules Will Be Enforced

2. Be Respectful to the Teacher and all Students

Warning and reminder, contact parent, student removed from class until parent contact is made, referral

3. Do Not Eat in the class or in the Dressing Room

Warning and food disposed of, if it continues to be a problem contact parents and a referral

4. Go to the bathroom during class changes, not during class instruction and not directly after the bell rings

Reminder of the rule and you will not be allowed to go until an appropriate class time, if it becomes a problem contact parents

5. Make up a missed dance class by turning in a written assignment

 No participation points given until the written work is turned in by the end of the 9 weeks

6. Injured student that can not dance

Still have to turn in a form of participation by doing a written observation, also a parent’s note or email is requested

Before Dance Class Starts Expectations

1. Be on Time to Class

(South) Come directly to dance class

1^st Warning, 2^nd contact parent, 3^rd referral

2. Use the dressing rooms in the dance room to change (boys only can use the bathrooms or the class room)

3. Dress out quickly and get to a proper dance space on time

4. Clean up after yourself in the dressing room

During Dance Class Expectations

1. Participate full out consistently, do not mark or half way do movements, during every part of dance class

Encouragement, grade lowered, removed from or move your location during a specific dance, removal from dance class until a parent contact is made

2. Do not Chew gum or Eat Candy during Dance Class

1^st Warning, 2^nd - 5 points, 3rd Sit out of dance the rest of the class, contact parent

3. Do Not Talk during the Warm-up, Stretch, Performance or Teacher Explanation parts of class, raise your hand if you have a question or comment

Refocused, Moved to a new location, Reminder, grade lowered, removal from the class until a parent contact is made

4. No Cell Phones (unless used for a project with teacher permission) suggestion is to lock them in my corner cabinet for safe keeping

1^st-taken until end of day, 2^nd-taken until parent picks it up, 3^rd- Saturday academy etc..

5. Proper dance attire is required daily, please see dance information sheet for description

Reminder and 5 points off daily participation score, discussion with the student to find out why, contact the parent, removal from dance class until the expectation is met
