Demographics:  The school wide Title I population at Third Creek is made up of 50% White, 25% African American, 20% Hispanic and 5% other.
 
Program Offerings:  Third Creek is committed to developing the academic and leadership skills in every student. Students are exposed to leadership opportunities from Kindergarten through fifth grade with the alignment of Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and Positive Behavior Support. In addition, differentiated lessons are implemented to meet the academic needs of our students. Every student is empowered to make learning decisions and work with the teachers to establish academic goals that are challenging, yet attainable. All students receive CORE instruction daily, as well as intervention and enrichment programs based on student performance.

Results:  2009-10 School met Expected Growth -  21/21 targets - School of Progress


 
Key Improvement Foci for 2010-2011 School Year:

  • Increase ABC proficiency: Align and implement school wide intervention plan during the instructional day providing additional “catch up” reading and math minutes for Level 1 and 2 students.
  •  TCE will decrease office discipline referrals by 50:

    Align, integrate and implement Leader in Me curriculum framework
