VOLUNTEER

Check out our blog for the latest news: www.shepherdpto.com!

Volunteers play an important role at Shepherd Elementary.  We could not be as successful without needed support from parents and the community.

So that accurate records may be kept of volunteer assistance, please sign in and out on the Volunteer clipboard located in the office (there is a Visitor's clipboard that is used for those visiting students for lunch or other than volunteering purposes, please be sure to use the Volunteer Clipboard).  Also, please take a name tag (located next to the clipboards) so that you will be recognized as a guest and welcomed by faculty, staff, and students.

Here are just some of the on-going ways you can make a difference:

Copy Papers

File Papers

Cut Laminated Items

Chaperone Field Trips

Changing the Marquee Sign
Art/Craft Project Help

Decorate Bulletin Boards

Party Coordinator

Shelve Library Books

Organizing Box Tops &/or Labels
Listen to Students Read or Read to Them

Small Group Leader

Donate Supplies

At-home Helper

Helping with T-Shirt & Magnet Orders

There are also special events throughout the year that require volunteer assistance such as Library Book
Fairs, PTO Fundraisers, Open Houses, Kindergarten Registration Day, Teacher Appreciation and more.

You can make our school year a BIG success by being an active part of our classrooms and extra-curricular school functions.  If you would like to help, contact the PTO or your child's teacher.
