Middle School
 

• Students are limited to no more than 10 lawful or unlawful

absences during the school year

 
• 5 early dismissals and/or tardies = 1 absence
 
• Absences must be made up before or after school, on teacher

work days and/or in summer school

 
• More than 10 lawful or unlawful absences with no make-up

time will put the student’s promotion to the next grade at risk

 
• Waivers to this policy may be requested in extreme

circumstances. Parents must request a waiver within 5 days of

the student’s return to school
 
• Non-school sponsored trips will be coded as unlawful
