IB Promotion Standards (6 – 8)

Definition of Teacher Standards: Student fails 2 or more classes OR student fails math or language A class.

Scenarios:

·        Student fails Teacher Standards and Passes EOGs

o       Student can either be retained at the IB school in current grade or go back to home school with promotion

·        Failure to complete IB assessments for all 8 IB MYP subjects

o       Student will return to their home school

·        Student fails Teacher Standard and fails EOGs

o       Student must return to home school and home school will determine promotion with guidance from IB principal

·        Student fails due to attendance

o       Student will be retained or promoted at IB principal discretion

·        Failure to complete community service hours requirement

o       Student will be retained or promoted at IB principal discretion
