Softball is open to all girls in participating schools ages 7-12. The girls youth softball program is run in partnership with the Iredell County rec department. Girls ages K-2 are encouraged to play T-ball to learn the fundamentals of the game. 
Girls Softball leagues follow the rules of the ASU (Amateur Softball Association) with some modifications and teams are divided into the following categories:
  • 8U: Girls ages 7-8, Machine pitch
  • 10U: Girls ages 9-10, player pitch
  • 12U: Girls ages 11-12, player pitch
