    This week we are reading Mamma's Birthday Present.  Make a connection between yourself and the story.  Write your answer in a complete sentence.  Tell how something in your life is like something in the story.

    Main idea is the big idea that the author is trying to tell you.   We have read some stories and practiced how to find the main idea. 
     
    Your job is to read page 72 in your reading book.  Tell what the main idea of the page is.  Use details to prove the answer.

  • Nouns

    This week we have been learning about nouns. 
     
    A noun is a word that names a person/animal, place, or thing.
     
    Please describe to me what you are going to do for Thanksgiving.  After you write your sentence, go back and underline any nouns you have written.
