This week we are reading Mamma's Birthday Present.  Make a connection between yourself and the story.  Write your answer in a complete sentence.  Tell how something in your life is like something in the story.

Our hornet time used many different sources to research an animal.  We wrote a main idea sentence and found details to prove it.  Read their work below!

Main idea is the big idea that the author is trying to tell you.   We have read some stories and practiced how to find the main idea.
