Reading
Parents please continue to read the assigned reading with your child everynight, then make sure their homework sheet is signed. Your child should be bringing home library books and should be able to read at least one of them to you. They will return the book and take an AR test on it and then get new books. Please encourage reading...the more your child reads the better reader they will become;)
 
Math
We have worked on doubles addition facts this week. Please practice these facts with your child. We began telling time to the hour this week and worked on counting by 2's. Continue to practice least to greatest with your child as well....if you have a deck of cards take the face cards out and play "Top It" with them...this would be good practice for this skill! I am sure your child will love teaching you how to play!!!! Next week we will start on telling time to the half hour and review skills like tallies and number order.
