logo  act as influential focus groups for the Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education and provide the board and superintendent with parent and community perspective and guidance on current issues and strategic planning priorities.

Five meetings are scheduled throughout the school district.  Meetings are held at each of the traditional high schools.  All elementary and middle schools that feed into the high school are included.

"The goal of Ed Matters is to foster open, effective, two-way communication and collaboration with parents, community members and staff, said Johnson.  "We promise to present timely topics of interest in a parent friendly, informal setting.  We will also include plenty of time for questions and comments," he concluded.
