Parents, please remember to check your child's folder daily.
  • Important papers, homework, and notes from the teacher will be found in this folder.
  • Please be sure to check and initial the behavior log each night.
  • Lunch money should be sent in an envelope with the student's name and lunch number on it.
  • All checks need a phone number and NCWISE number.
  • Absence notes should be sent in the very next day when the student returns to school.
  • All transportation changes must be sent in writing with the student the morning of the change

 Parent tips:
  • Read with your child.  Remember to ask questions to see if he/she is comprehending what is being read.
  • Visit the library often.
  • Ask your child about his/her school day.  Instead of asking, "What did you do at school today?"  The answer is often, "nothing!"....say, "I see you're learning about ____________, tell me about what you know."  You can use the newsletters and classwork sent home to help you know what's going on in our class.
  • Instead of watching a lot of television, play a family board game.
  • Have your child be responsible for his/her homework, book bag, lunchbox...etc.
  • When classwork is sent home, go over the problems that were missed.
  • Subscribe to a children's magazine.
  • Make sure your child gets a good nights rest and has a good breakfast in the morning.
