Welcome to the Media Page:
Media Specialist: Stephanie Turner, M Ed, MLS, NBCT

Media Mission Statement:

We, the students of Lake Norman Elementary, come to the Media Center to: check out books,
learn how to find things in the library and learn how to use this information to become better learners.
We also want to read books that will take us on an adventure!
In order to do this, we need to: learn how to use Destiny,
learn how to find items in the library using call numbers and learn how to find useful and appropriate information.
We need to follow the 3 school rules: be safe, be respectful, and be responsible.
We also want to reach our AR goals, use information wisely and increase our scores on the EOG's.
We know that reading is FUN!!!

 About Me:
Being the librarian at Lake Norman Elementary is a wonderful job!!  This is my eighth year at LNE. With the new Common Core Curriculum the research and technology have become important factors in learning.  I emphasize the importance of using the library for research - finding books and websites that give appropriate information.  Libraries can open the world to our students!
