About Me
Nettie Gambill

My name is Nettie Gambill and I have been teaching for 32 years. I have been at Lake Norman Elementary School since it opened in 1996. I have a Bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University, a Master's degree from Gardner-Webb University and I earned my National Board Certification in 2003 as a Middle Childhood Generalist.

I was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and am proud of my agricultural roots, having been raised on a dairy farm in Orange County.  The farm has been in my family for over 200 years.  I moved to Mooresville after college with my husband, Larry, in 1979. He teaches at North Iredell High School.  We have two daughters, Jessica and Lindsay.  Jessica and her husband, Michael are parents of our granddaughter Elizabeth and grandson Andrew.  Lindsay works at BB&T. We enjoy spending family time together, watching sports, especially football (NC State Wolfpack and the ASU Mountaineers) and baseball ( NY Yankees) and music by singing in my church choir.

As a native to North Carolina I enjoy teaching my students about their Tarheel state. Fourth grade is a challenging year, but it can be a great year too.  I look forward to working with the students and parents to make our mission possible.
