Why we give homework? 
To enrich learning, strengthen skills, and provide practice for skills already taught in class.
 
Homework Expectations
 
Parents:
Provide encouragement and motivation
Set a consistent homework schedule each afternoon
Monitor and provide minimal assistance (check over your child's work)
 
Students:
Understand the assignment
Complete homework independently in a reasonable amount of time
Do your best (neatly)
 
Teacher:
Give clear directions to homework assignments
Model examples of projects
Check assignments and provide feedback
