3rd Grade Music Goals - 2011-2012

By the end of 3^rd grade, students should be able to say "I can:

Sing on pitch with correct rhythm

Read whole, half, dotted half, quarter, and eighth notes and quarter rests in 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4 meter

Sing an ostinato and a round

Name the notes on the treble clef

Play correct pitches and rhythms

Name dynamic and tempo symbols and terms

Name and recognize these musical forms: AB, ABA, AABA, Call and Respose and Introduction/Coda
