We are at Harmony to learn more math, science, reading, and writing.  We will accomplish this goal by working together to be safe, responsible and respectful.

 

     Hello!  Welcome to my classroom webpage.  My name is Kendra Cockeran.  This is my 13th year teaching at Harmony Elementary!  I am very excited about the year ahead and look forward to getting to know your family.

     I was born and raised in Iredell County.  I am a graduate of West Iredell High School.  I received an Associate Arts Degree from Mitchell Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 with a concentration in Social Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte .
     Out of school I love spending time with my wonderful husband, Shannon, and our daughter, Ava.  My husband and I are very excited about the upcoming year.  We are expecting our second child in June.

     Second Grade is a year with many new challenges.  There is much progress to be made in only 180 days.  I will be there for your child every step of the way.  I believe all children have the ability to learn.  It is my goal to provide a caring, nurturing environment and to actively engage all children in meaningful instruction.

     Teaching is a blessing and I look forward to the new year.  Remember that you are your child's first teacher so, let's work together to ensure your child has a successful year in Second Grade.
