Our mission as 5th grade students is to learn what is required, pass all the required tests and prepare for the future.  We will do this by completing assignments, "focusing" in class, independent reading, increasing vocabulary, and listening to instruction.  We will work together, respect everyone, and follow the rules to achieve our mission.

 

All 5th graders will score at or above grade level on all the required Reading, Math, and Science tests this school year.  We will monitor our progress towards this goal by using PDSA's and Benchmarks. 

 

 I live in Union Grove, have been married for 20 years,  and have 2 children, 2 cats and 2 dogs.  My daughter is in 7th grade at NIMS and my son is in 10th grade at NIHS.  I graduated from Lenoir- Rhyne College in 1991 with a BA in Elementary Education (K-6). This is my 20th year working for Iredell-Statesville Schools.  This is my fourth year in 5th grade and I am looking forward to working with all of you.
