The Harmony Elementary School Spelling Bee was held on January 15 in the school cafeteria.  Classroom winners from 3rd, 4th and 5th grades went through 114 words before finally determining a winner.  Andrea Renegar was declared the winner when she spelled the word analogize.  First runner up Olivia Froelich was eliminated when she missed the word conundrum and second runner up Logen Warlick sat down when she missed the word palatable.  The words in the final round were from the 9th grade list of spelling bee words!  Way to go all Harmony Spelling Bee winners!
Andrea will compete in the District Spelling Bee on February 5, 2010 at South Iredell High School.  She will be accompanied by first runner up, Olivia Froelich.
