        Hello, I am very excited to be your child's level 2 humanities teacher.  I am looking forward to teaching and developing your child's knowledge of the history of the world from the year 1400 through the modern era.  I view humanities as being much more than a simple discussion of the culture and history of a particular region.  I will connect other areas of interest within education to this course.  We live in a big world with many diverse cultures and view -points.  It is important to me as your child's teacher to help each of my students to understand their place in the world.  By doing this, I hope they will begin the wonderful journey of understanding how they can affect the world they live in.  I believe that every person has a gift or something to offer.  Everybody's "gift" or skill is different.  I hope to utilize each of my student’s individual talents in my classroom, so that they may flourish and be successful not only in my class but also in all of their classes.  Once again I am very grateful for the opportunity to teach such wonderful students who possess so many wonderful abilities.  The sky is the limit with each of my students, and I look forward to being your child's teacher.  Please e-mail me or call me whenever it is convenient for you, or feel free to stop in and speak with me.  I look forward to meeting each and every one of you.
