About Me

     I am from Iredell County and attended Celeste Henkel Elementary.  I graduated from West Iredell High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Gardner-Webb College.  After working for Duke Power for more than 13 years, I decided to pursue my desire to teach.  I earned Licensure in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina-Charlotte.  This is my 12th year of teaching.
 
     I am married to Ted and we have two children.  My son is a sophmore at West High and my daughter is in 7th grade at West Middle.
 
     I thoroughly enjoy teaching, especially at my alma mater.  It is fun to watch children get excited about learning.  I look forward to getting to know my new group of students this year.
