My Classroom Mission
 
K-2 Mission Statement
   Celeste Henkel art students will increase our artmaking, reading, and math skills. We will do this by looking at art, using different art tools the right way, following art instructions, and trying our best.
 
3-5 Mission Statement
   Celeste Henkel art students will explore elements and principles of art by looking at art of today and yesterday, discussing it, and making our own artwork. Additionally, we will follow directions and respect each other.
 
 
About me
   It's hard for me to believe that it is my thirteenth year teaching at Celeste Henkel! I live in Statesville with my wife, Victoria, and my three daughters, Lilly, Campbell, and Genevieve. I am very excited to have my oldest daughter coming to Kindergarten this year! It will be interesting to be both a parent and a teacher at this school.
   When I am not teaching, I enjoy being active at the rec. center, running and walking with my family, attending church, reading and creating art.
   I'm originally from Pennsylvania. I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I received a degree in art education.
   I look forward to working with you and your children this year!
