I require students to read a minimum of 30 minutes a day at home.  Students must try to read a variety of fiction and non-fiction at their appropriate reading level. We will take AIMS web quizzes quarterly to monitor reading progress.  Star Reader Tests will help students watch their reading levels climb and select appropriate books.

Homework:  The school is developing a school-wide homework policy; however, I believe all students should read every night, write in a diary or journal, and practice their math facts. Projects are assigned that help the students approach learning from an interdisciplinary approach.
