Welcome! I currently teach a reading Mustang Time class, two seventh grade Accelerated Math classes and two Integrated Math I  classes. Tutoring is available upon request and weekly assignment sheets are distributed each Monday. My planning period is 2:10 - 3:15 each day. Please feel free to call or email me anytime.
 
 
 
 7th Grade Accelerated Math Mission Statement
Our mission is to increase our EOG scores,  prepare for Integrated Math I and maintain at least an 85 average. We are going to make this happen by studying, doing all assignments, doing what is asked of us, respecting others and showing good behavior. We will focus, pay attention and listen.
 
 
8th Grade Integrated Math I Mission Statement
Our mission  is to earn our Math I credit, while preparing for high school, college and beyond. We will also increase our EOG scores and be proficient on the EOC. To accomplish our goals, we will stay focused, do all assignments, ask questions and study each day.

  
About Me

I have been married to Chuck for 30 years and we have two grown sons, Zach and Josh. I am a graduate of Appalachain State University where I majored in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in math, language arts and social studies. I also have AIG certification (K-12) and a Master's degree in Gifted Education from Western Carolina University. I am currently in my 30th year here at West Middle where I serve as our Gifted Support Team chairperson.  I am an avid ASU football and Duke basketball fan. I love the mountains, reading, spending time with my family and shopping.
