My mission in 8th grade math is for all students to be proficient on the Cmmon Core State Standards and to meet or exceed expected growth on the EOG.

My mission in 8th grade Language Arts is for all students to be proficient on the Common Core State Standards and to meet or exceed expected growth on the EOG.

 

I am a graduate of West Iredell High School and Gardner Webb University. I have a B.S. degree in middle school math, social studies, and language arts. I am beginning my 25th year of teaching with all but one of those having  been here at West Middle.

I enjoy reading, gardening, and watching several types of sports. I am the #1 fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the NC State Wolfpack, as well as the Western Carolina University Catamounts. I also enjoy Nascar with Ryan Newman ( driver of the #39 Army Chevrolet) being my #1 driver. I collect trains, Tiggers, snowmen, and anything Dallas, Wolfpack, or Irish.
