Mrs. Vicki Grout
Classroom Mission To love, teach, serve, and learn. My Story In 1997, I relocated to North Carolina from Connecticut and Rhode Island with my husband, Russell, and our three children (2 boys and a girl). We lived in Mooresville for a short time and in Cool Spring for ten years. Our youngest son was officially born a North Carolinian Iredellite. In 2008, we moved near the Downtown Statesville Historic District. Our four children, now ages 19, 18, 16, and 14, enjoy Iredell County and I say we have been "permanently transplanted." We also have four adopted cats, mostly from the ICAC Shelter where my children like to volunteer. Since 2006, I have been privileged to work in our great district, starting as an EC Teacher Assistant at SIHS in an OCS classroom. The next year I was asked to fill a position as Resource/Inclusion Teacher (interim) for 9-12th grade students at SIHS. After a short family medical leave from East Elementary, I returned as
an EC Teacher Assistant at WIMS for the remainder of 2008 and all of 2008-2009. Following this, I experienced an exciting year of learning and growth when I was blessed to serve as the 2nd-5th grade Resource/Inclusion Teacher at Union Grove Elementary. For 2010-2011, my position at UGE was downsized and I was moved to Statesville Middle School as the 6th/8th grade Inclusion/Resource Teacher and continued into 2012 at SMS as the EC Teacher for 7th grade Resource/Inclusion classrooms. Last year, I moved to a split position at North Iredell Middle/North Iredell High in the Low Incidence classrooms. This year, I have returned to WIMS as an EC Teacher Assistant in the Low Incidence classroom with Mrs. Lindenberger. We have a great classroom team and a wonderful group of students who love learning! This will be a great year as our Mustangs are together!
I am grateful to have been asked to work in various locations in our great schools of Iredell County and have worked with such wonderful students and staff! |
