Now put the foundations under them."  I welcome you to my web page.  I view education as students building their castles in the air.  My goal is to make sure they have a firm foundation for their future.

My students strive to become the best that they can be by working to their potential in areas of reading, writing, and research.

About Me

I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in social studies and a minor in English.  I also received my Master's degree from Appalachian in Social Studies at the Community College level.  I am certified to teach social studies and English at the middle school level.  I then became certified to teach AIG students.  In 2001, I received my National Board Teaching Certification.  My passions out of school include my family, my church, and my garden.  My weakness is chocolate.
