My Classroom Mission
The 21rst century student, as a result of their education, will be learning
consumers and producers, ethically responsible and contributing local and
global citizens. These self directed learners will be able to adapt to rapid
change and will be adept information managers, who will know how to gather,
evaluate, synthesize, and communicate information.
About Me
I am the oldest of three boys. I was raised in dairy country and enjoy hunting, fishing, camping with my family, stockcar racing and church activities. I decided to become a teacher in 2002 after having been in sales since 1986.

I am married to Christine Flay. She teaches ESL in Yadkin County at Starmont Middle School.
Cris, as she likes to be called, and I have been married for over 18 years. We currently live in Ronda where we raise our three boys and various pets.
My three sons, Buddy, age 15; Danny, age 12 and Beau Hunter, age 6. My two older boys enjoy Scouts, Soccer and Hunting. Hunter enjoys tagging along with his big brothers!
