About Me
This is my eighteenth  year teaching and eight year here at NIMS.  I have taught manily math during this time but have taught other subjects; social studies, physical eduation and health.  Before I came to NIMS, I taught at East Alexander Middle School. 
I am married to Andy and we have two children.  My son is a 9th grader at NIHS.  He enjoys hunting and fishing.  My daughter is in fifth grade at Central.  She enjoys playing volleyball, basketball,softball and playing with her friends.
I graduated from UNC-Charlotte  with a BA in Middle School Math and Social Studies Education.  I also gratuated from Mitchell Community College with an Associate Degree. 
I love to watch my children and my students as they play sports.  I also love to travel.  In the past, I have traveled to Jamacia, Mexico and Peru.  I hope that I have an opportunity to travel to other places in the future.  I also like to travel with my studetns.
