Welcome to 8th grade Language Arts!  I look forward to a great year together.  I hope to pass on some invaluable knowledge to each of my students, as well as learn from each of you. 
 
Classroom Mission
 
Our class will become better readers and writers.  The best way to accomplish this is by reading, reading, reading and writing, writing, writing.
 
About Me

Eighth grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach! There is never a boring moment when working with 13 and 14 year olds!  This is my 10th year teaching.  I have a B.S. from the University of Maryland and a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  I enjoy teaching about other languages and cultures and will incorporate that into my classroom.
I live in Mooresville with my husband Chris and four children, CJ, RoseAnna, Fischer and RosaLee.  They attend Lakeshore Middle, Lake Norman High School and the University of South Carolina.  We are a very busy family with sports and school activities, and I'm sure I will see you all outside the classroom.
