My Classroom Mission
About Me
I was born and raised in Bluefield, West Virginia. I moved to Mooresville in August of 2006 after accepting a Language Arts position here at Lakeshore Middle. I am excited to remain in the 6th grade again this year, teaching all Language Arts. I love to read and hope my love for books will rub off on my students!
I am a graduate of Bluefield State College. My first degree is in Social Science/Psychology and my second is in Early/Middle Education concentrating in middle school Language Arts and Social Studies. In January of 2010, I completed my Master's program from the University of Phoenix. I am a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I am also active in my church. In my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with my daughter.
