My Classroom Mission

My vision is that all students will acquire the attitude, knowledge, and skills necessary for success in school, in the workplace, and in life.  I will teach mathematics in a way that is meaningful, interesting, and applicable to real-life situations in a comfortable and inviting learning environment.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree: State University of New York at Geneseo , Elementary Education (K-6) & Special Education (K-12), 2004
Master's Degree:  Walden University,  Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment, 2008 
National Board Certified Teacher: Early Adolescence Mathematics, 2010
 
Experience:
This is my eighth year teaching at Lakeshore Middle School. Here at Lakeshore I have taught both math and special education.  I truly love teaching middle school students!
 
Family:
My husband and I have been married for over 8 years and we have two wonderful children - Dominic is six and Lila is three.  My parents and older sister still live in New York and my brother is in the Air Force.  He has been deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afganistan where he works in a K-9 unit.  My brother and sister-in-law also live here in Mooresville with their two children and we enjoy having them so close so our children can grow up together.
