My mission as a teacher is to be a facilitator in building a foundation for lifelong learning.
Students will be allowed to experience success without the fear of failure. A child's success and failures will be used as a tool to further their understanding of a situation or to see where they went wrong.
Along with an education, a child needs strong emotional support, which will be fostered throughout the year during different learning processes. (Especially during the Middle school years).
Hello, my name is Christine Stockman. I was born in Brooklyn, New York, where I lived for about 11 years. While living in Brooklyn, I attended Mary Queen of Heaven; a Catholic Elementary school. My family and I moved to Warwick, NY. I completed high school at Warwick Valley High. My next step was completed at SUNY New Paltz, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education and social studies. After college, my whole family moved to NC from New York.
I started teaching at LakeshoreMiddle School the year it opened, 2000. I have taught 8th grade Social Studies for 12 years. I have also taught 7th grade Social Studies and 8th grade English.
I am certified to teach 6th – 12th grade, but enjoy teaching 8th grade students. I have just completed my Masters in middle school curriculum at Gardner Webb University. My husband and I have two little girls also attending Iredell Statesvilles school.
