I am a life-long learner. My father was a career military officer, so I had the privilege of traveling to many parts of our country and some places overseas. I attended  schools in Italy, Louisiana,  Nebraska, and Virginia. I have a BA degree from Queens College (now Queens University) in Charlotte and a MA degree from Appalachian State University. I have been involved with Troutman Elementary for the past 38 years in a variety of ways. I have taught first and third grades here as well as having two sons who attended school here. When I am not at school, I often volunteer at the Troutman library. My hobbies are reading and sewing.
