"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."
About Me
The 2012-2013 school year marks my twenty-fourth year in education, my third year with the Iredell-Statesville School District and my first year as Instructional Facilitator at West Middle. I am a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) with a Bachelor's Degree in Intermediate Education and UNC-Charlotte with a Master's Degree in Reading Education. I hold licensure in the areas of K-6 Education, 6-9 Language Arts, K-12 AIG, K-12 Reading, and Literacy Coaching. I have previously taught Title I Reading and AIG in elementary school and Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, AIG, and Drama in middle school. I have also served as an elementary Differentiation Specialist and a middle school Literacy Coach.
I enjoy reading young adult literature, teaching, travel, basketball, playing flute, and spending time with my family. I live in Conover with my husband, son, and three playful Pomeranians named Lilly, Lola, and Lexi.
