About Me
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
   Welcome to another great year of learning at Coddle Creek Elementary and to ESL Class! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Rana Chaaban.  I am delighted to be your child’s ESL teacher this year.  I am originally from Lebanon. I moved to North Carolina in 1994. I am excited to begin my 17 year of teaching elementary school. Previous to teaching in North Carolina, I taught English as Second Language in elementary schools in Lebanon. Back in my country I gained my certification in teaching English as second Language. This is my 14 year of teaching in Iredell Statesville Schools, and I still love it!
 I have been married for 18 years. I have two wonderful boys Omar and Ramsey. My older son Omar is twelve years old and he is attending IB Mt. Mourne and Ramsey is in fifth grade at Woodland Heights Elementary.
 In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching movies, and traveling.
