I am available each Thursday and Friday mornings, Monday and Wednesday afternoons to help my students in both AFM and Pre-Calculus.
MU ALPHA THETA is a math honor society here at Lake Norman, consisting of upper level math students who have completed or who are enrolled in Pre-Calculus and above. We offer tutoring with those students on the following times:
Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-4:30
Wednesday mornings from 7:30-8:15
Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30
Welcome to my classroom/website! Please feel free to email me or call me at any time with questions or just to say hello! I am always here to help and my door is always open to parents and students!
My Classroom Mission
I believe that ALL students can learn. I believe that with the right help and support, each child can and WILL succeed in my classroom. I believe that students want structure and boundries and when they have them laid out correctly they will follow them happily. I believe in making students LOVE school and having fun while teaching. I believe in loving students as if they were my own children, and therefore holding them to a higher standard ~ not because I am "tough" but because I know that they can do it. Finally, I believe in my students! :)
About Me
I attended Lenior-Rhyne College (before it became the Univiersity) and I played volleyball there. During my senior year, I did my student teaching at Hickory High School, where I was hired to teach for my first four years. I also coached volleyball at HHS and loved it, but chose to move to the Lake Norman area in an effort to "come home." I grew up in Statesville and my parents and family still live there. This is my 6th year teaching and coaching volleyball and I can honestly say that I love what I do!
I am married to Trey Ramsey, who also teaches and coaches baseball at Providence High School, so we are super busy people! Thank God our seasons are opposite of each other because we also have a beautiful little girl named Alexis! She is two years old and learning and growing everyday! We are truly blessed!
