My Classroom Mission

Mrs. Whitaker's class will learn to read, write, spell, and solve math problems. We will be safe, respectful, and responsible everywhere we go. Our class will be ready for 2nd grade.
 
About Me
This is my second year of teaching. I attended Appalachian State where I received an elementary education degree. Last August I got married to my amazing husband who is also a teacher in Iredell County. He is a history teacher at South Iredell as well as a football coach. So on Friday nights you know where to find me. I have a stepson, 2 dogs, and 1 cat who all have my heart. If you are in my class you are sure to see lots of pictures of each of them. My job here at Scotts is an absolute dream. I love all of my students and appreciate the support I receive from each of my parents. First grade is such a fun and exciting year!
