I graduated high school from Bandys High School in Catawba, NC and recieved my B.S. in Middle Grades Education from Western Carolina University. It is in Cullowhee, that I met my wonderful husband and we married during my Senior year. After being married for 3 years, our Son Owen was born and has had my heart ever since. I love being a Mom and love being a teacher almost just as much. This is my third year at NIMS and I enjoy teaching math because it is a challenge for most of my students. When I was growing up, math was really hard for me to but I loved to solve a problem all the way to the end! I loved working and practicing until I could do it! Ahh ... Victory!! I teach math in a way that steers my students towards that same victory. As an educator, I consider myself a lighter:
