Welcome to the 20012-2013 school year!  My name is Tara Balliet and I excited to be here at Coddle Creek Elementary School!  My family and I moved here from Pennsylvania 5 years ago.  We had the opportunity to transfer south with my husbands's job, so we anxiously packed up our daughters, (Olivia and Sophia) our Great Pyrenees, (Belle) and our cats, (Macy and Miracle).

 

I have been teaching for the past 14 years.  This is my second year here at Coddle Creek teaching 3rd grade.  I have worked in a variety of positions with my last assignment as a 5th grade teacher in Davidson County.  There are many academic goals that will be set for your child this year. However, there are also many personal goals that I will focus on as well.  It is important that each student works to his/her potential and recognizes his/her own responsibility in their education.  Students must become "active learners" as they journey down the path to become life-long learners!

 

It is thrilling to be a part of the 3rd grade team here at Coddle Creek.  I am eager to become acquainted with you and your child and to have the opportunity to work with him/her in the classroom.  I know that as we work together, your child will have a great, productive school year!
