My Classroom Mission

The mission of our class is to always give our best effort to learn our 5th grade curriculum by working together as a team to develop our minds and leadership abilities which will help us to not only pass our EOG's, but enable us to be lifelong learners and effective leaders.
 
About Me

I graduated from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN in 1991 with a major in Elementary Education.  I taught 12 years in TN.  I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.  This is my second year teaching in North Carolina after taking a few years off to help my family adjust to our move to another state.  I am very excited to be at East Elementary and teaching 5th grade!!
 
I have been married for 25 years to my high school sweetheart, Randy.  We have three children named Ryne, Kendall, and Emily.  My boys have both graduated from high school and my daughter currently attends Troutman Middle School.  I also have a German Shepherd dog named Libby and a cat named Cookie.
