My Classroom Mission
I will strive for all my students to be successful in 7th grade math by providing them with strategies to solve all types of math problems on paper and in their everyday lives.
About Me
I grew up in a small town in West Virginia. I attended Marshall University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in math and a master’s degree in reading. Before coming to North Carolina, I taught for a year and a half at Louisa Middle School in Kentucky. I also coached cheerleading for one year at Cabell Midland High School and for one year at Louisa Middle School. I have been married to a wonderful man for 6 years, and we have a little girl named, Kaitlyn. I enjoy Nascar races, and my favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr. I have taught 7th grade math at East Middle School for 6 years.
