My Classroom Mission
 
I believe that the purpose of education is to create an intellectually, morally, and physically well-rounded individual.  As Horace Mann (often considered to be the father of modern American education) once said, “Education, then, beyond all other devices of human origin, is the great equalizer of the conditions of men—the balance-wheel of the social machinery.”  My mission is to assist all students in becoming intellectually, morally, and physically well-rounded adults.  It is my hope to instill the value of a good education in all my students. 
 
About Me

I am an Iredell County native; I graduated from West Iredell High School. I received my Associate in Arts Degree from Mitchell Community College.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  I received my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology/Computers and additional graduate math education credits from Appalachian State University.  I am currently finishing my Doctorate of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University.  I am also Nationally Board Certified.  As you can see, I am a life-long learner!
